Your body has been speaking to you your whole life. Most of us were never taught to listen.
The body is not a vehicle for the mind. It is a sophisticated intelligence system — one that holds memory, wisdom, and truth that the thinking mind cannot access. Learning to read it changes everything.
We have been taught, in most Western cultures, to treat the body as a vehicle. Something to be managed, optimised, disciplined, and occasionally indulged. Something that serves the mind — the 'real' self — rather than an intelligence in its own right.
But the body is not a vehicle. It is a library. It holds every experience you have ever had — every joy, every wound, every moment of expansion and contraction. It speaks in the language of sensation: tightness and ease, heaviness and lightness, warmth and cold, the held breath and the deep exhale.
The nervous system processes approximately 11 million bits of information per second. The conscious mind can handle roughly 40 to 50 bits of that. The rest is processed below the level of awareness — in the body, in the gut, in the subtle shifts of posture and breath that happen before we have words for what we're experiencing.
This is why the body often knows before the mind does. It knows when a situation is unsafe before the mind has assessed the evidence. It knows when a relationship is wrong before the mind has articulated the reasons. It knows when a decision is right — that particular quality of settling, of rightness, that is unmistakable once you learn to feel it.
"The body never lies. It is the mind that learns to override, dismiss, and explain away what the body has always known."

The simplest way to begin developing body literacy is through a daily body scan — a practice of moving your attention systematically through the body and simply noticing what is there, without trying to change it.
Done daily, this practice begins to build a vocabulary — a fluency in the language your body has been speaking all along. Over time, you will find that you can access this intelligence in real time: in a meeting, in a conversation, in a moment of decision.
One of the most ancient and sophisticated maps of the body's energetic intelligence is the chakra system — seven energy centres that correspond to different aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual experience. From the root chakra's themes of safety and belonging, to the crown chakra's connection to the transcendent, each centre offers a lens through which to understand what the body is holding.
When a chakra is balanced, the qualities associated with it flow freely. When it is blocked or overactivated, the imbalance shows up — in the body, in the emotions, in the patterns of thought and behaviour. Learning to read these signals is a lifelong practice, and one of the most rewarding.
Our Energy Body Scan tool guides you through a 7-chakra assessment, identifying which centres need attention and providing personalised healing practices for each. Coming soon.
